TWINKLEBUM UK - LINKS

Here are some links to websites of significance. Please think about the depressed accountant (above) when you look at them.

www.britdoc.org

The Channel 4 British Documentary Film Foundation. These guys have commissioned my forthcoming film, A Stoner's Guide to North-West London. These guys aim to champion films of passion and excellence, outside the constrains of mainstream television. Evidently I slipped through the net because my films are boring, bland and tedious. The Foundation are also inaugerating a major British Documentary film festival that will be based in Oxford. The grants bestowed by the Foundation are tax free. Get some pie.

www.channel4.com/fourdocs

An offshoot of Channel 4, these guys are a useful resource for those who want to feel/ sound out what documentary in the UK is all about. If you've made a film of four minutes long - post it up on their website. The website's full of useful insights and resources. It's also got exclusive interviews with documentary film-makers such as Nick Broomfield, Franny Armstrong - and God knows why - me. My interview is probably the worst interview ever committed to film. Check it out here:

www.shootingpeople.org

Online community of film-makers. Subscribing to this forum allows you to find that crew, equipment, work, information or publicity you need. They also offer great discounts on various film-related thingies. Occassionally I moderate their bulletins but that's not why I think they're good. I think they're good cos occassionally they let me moderate their bulletins.

www.stuntpower.com

Me and Dean used to crawl under the desks during library lessons - steal Ross' bag - and empty out its contents. I went on to the shambling escapades of my life - Dean went on to continue the craft and became a stunt-man. Check out his website.

www.rooftopfilms.com

Guys based in Brooklyn New York with very cool ethos as regards short films. Check out their website and definitely submit anything you've made to their open calls for films. They've now got a cable network broadcasting in Manhattan. My Back Garden and Where Have All the Insects Gone have played here. I'm spunking all over America. (Albeit in a very small and extremely limited way).

www.animalmonday.co.uk

Animal Monday are the loveliest film-makers on the south-coast of England. What's more - they manage to make stuff with a social conscience without being up their arses or hippies! And Twinklebum UK hates hippies. In fact - Twinklebum UK incites against hippies in direct contravention to the European law on Human Rights! So check out Animal Monday! Show them your monkey and they might show you theirs...
